MMP Staffing Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population, including children and adults, to improve communication abilities and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Utilize standardized assessment tools and techniques to develop accurate diagnostic profiles.
  • Individualized Treatment Planning:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to set achievable therapy objectives.
  • Therapeutic Interventions:
  • Provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including articulation therapy, language intervention activities, and oral motor therapy.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Client and Family Education:
  • Educate clients and their families about communication disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies to support progress at home.
  • Provide training and resources to caregivers and educators to enhance clients' communication skills in different environments.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports to comply with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Collaboration and Consultation:
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, educators, and professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and coordinate care.
  • Professional Development:
  • Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Maintain licensure and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure and Certification: DC, VA or MD
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in speech-language pathology preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children and adults, in various settings (e.g., schools, clinics, hospitals).
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using technology and electronic health records (EHR) for documentation.

Work Environment:

  • The position may require working in various settings, including schools, clinics, hospitals, and clients' homes.
  • Some travel may be required to accommodate clients' needs.
  • Flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends, may be necessary based on client schedules.
